  • As a new foundation, there is much to do and we need a number of skilled volunteers who are available to give their time and experience. We are seeking an Administrator to join our volunteer team and assist the board with administrative duties.

    About the role

    Day to day you will be required to (but not limited to):

    • Prepare meeting agendas, attend and take minutes.

    • Check in with the Board to ensure actions are followed through.

    • Look after administrative tasks associated with fundraising events and campaigns, printing flyers etc.

    • Maintaining Board folders and other tasks as and when required.

    Time required

    10-15 hours per week. Hours can be arranged. Mostly working from home, but some in person when required. For events some evenings and weekend work may arise.

    To be successful in this role you will:

    • Be someone who is highly organised, carries a sense of urgency, and is discreet.

    • Have a computer / laptop with a reliable internet connection , and the ability and experience with Microsoft Office.

    • Be a valuable team player.

    • Have the confidence to offer suggestions - all will be appreciated.

    About the role

    Day to day you will be required to (but not limited to):

    • Assess prospective volunteer enquiries, book appointments, assist/conduct volunteer interviews and maintain records.

    • Ensure all volunteers are inducted and orientated in a professional manner and have everything they need to start their role, including checking in on a regular basis.

    • Coordinate the development of and deliver training, support meetings and recognition events - specific to the volunteers. Support the team arranging fundraising events, and coordinate volunteers for such events.

    • Suggesting events you feel would enable our Charity to grow further, and provide more resource to our Survivor Community

    Time required

    5 or more hours per week. Hours can be arranged. Mostly working from home, but some in person when required. For events some evenings and weekend work may arise.

    To be successful in this role you will:

    • Have led a small team previously

    • The ability to pick things up quickly Be strategic and creative in your approach

    • Have strong organizational, time management and administrative skills.

    • Work to deadlines. Have highly developed written and oral communication skills with excellent attention to detail.

    • Have previous work experience in a relevant coordination, administrative or events position.

    • Computer confidence is essential.

    • Ideally have experience in working with volunteers, and engaging with people of varied backgrounds, ages and cultures.
