# Siblings Too

As parents, we want to believe that our children are most vulnerable outside of our home.

And yes, that is the way it should be; however, one of the most common types of child sexual abuse within the home is believed to be by another child – a sibling.

This isn’t something happening occasionally. It is likely occurring in 1 in 5 families. Yes, that means it probably effects in a family you know.

And yet, it is rarely, if ever, talked about.

This is why we are so passionate about breaking the silence and stigma of sibling sexual abuse.

It is far too common, and it is truly a silent killer. We don’t say this lightly. The devastation left behind on victims, those who do harm, families, and society is heartbreaking.

Help us break that silence and stigma. The first #SiblingsToo Day will be on April 15th. Education, awareness, and empowerment.
